The weekend’s warmer weather has produced the first tell tale signs the bushfire season is right around the corner.

In Echuca’s south east yesterday, five trucks were called to an out of control grassfire.
CFA community engagement officer Paul Tangey said it doesn’t take much for conditions to turn.
“We’ve had floods, weather that’s nothing like fire season, but we do need to turn our attention.”

He added that it will “only take a few hot days” for the risk to increase significantly.
