“To put it bluntly, it’s a recipe for disaster.” – That’s what Road Policing Acting Assistant Commissioner, John Fitzpatrick, says after the statewide Operation Arid caught drivers speeding, drunk & drug driving, and driving unqualified.
In Bendigo, 57 speeders were arrested. Three drunk drivers and four drug drivers were caught, as well as six unlicensed drivers and one disqualified driver. Meanwhile, seven unregistered cars were seized.
