A day in court looms for the truck driver at the centre of a fatal collision involving a Girton Grammar student.
Police confirmed last Friday afternoon (September 11th) that a 36-year-old Sebastian man had been charged with dangerous driving causing death, driving in a dangerous manner, careless driving and failing to give way at a pedestrian crossing.
He was bailed to appear before the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court in November.
This comes after a truck collided with a pedestrian on the morning of October 10th, 2025.
The victim, 15-year-old Thom Hosking, was struck near the intersection of High and Don Streets while on his way to school around 8.30am.
A funeral took place on October 24th of that year at the Ulumbarra Theatre with his family and classmates in attendance.
