Investigators say a violent home invasion in Rochester late on Sunday night left the homeowner with serious injuries.

The local force is now calling on the public for anyone who may witnessed suspicious behaviour.
The alleged incident occurred at around 11.50pm at a property on Echuca road.

The five offenders are being described as aged between 17-25.
One male is described as Caucasian, with brown hair and a mullet, standing at around 183 cm in height.
He was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans at the time.
