
Defiant Pastoral Hotel publican Trevor Andrews has been convicted and handed a $5,000 fine for disobeying lockdown orders last July.

Local police had warned him on July 19 and 20 that he could not continue to operate.
However, Andrews opened on July 21 and was then charged with two counts of failing to comply with public health orders.
He previously claimed that he had a constitutional right to reopen during the state’s fifth lockdown.

However, the presiding judge rejected that the charges against him were unlawful.
