RACV and Neighbourhood Watch are alerting local business owners of an increase in burglaries by 39.8 per cent in 2023.
This follows a local incident where a ‘prolific burgalar’ allegedly broke into a string of schools and community buildings in December and January.
According to Crime Statistics Victoria, 25,607 offences were recorded in 2023 – in comparison to 18,405 offences in 2022.
