‘So Many Families Will Use it’: Lake Weeroona Playspace Facelift On Track

City officials say the $1.5 million Lake Weeroona Playspace renewal will be finished before the summer school holidays.

He said alongside the massive spiral tower, there’s much more going to be added to the playground in the coming weeks.

“There’s also going to be a wet area so in the hotter months people actually interact and play with water,” he said. 
 
Funding of $1.2 million has been provided by the the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and $301,750 from the City of Greater Bendigo.
 
Federal member Lisa Chesters said she’s proud that the new Albanese government committed to “keep this fund going”.

“This playground will get a lot of use,” she said.
