Basketball Australia is investigating misogynist abuse from Townsville fans towards Bendigo Spirit star Anneli Maley.

The reigning MVP took to social media to claim drunk men were verbally abusing her in Bendigo’s win in Townsville against the Fire on Friday night.
The undefeated Bendigo Spirit have gone 5 wins and zero losses to start the 2022/23 season, following two consecutive wins on the road over the week.
