Tulip Dig Returns in 2022

Greenthumbs across the region will be pleased to hear the Tulip Dig is back in 2022.

From 9am tomorrow morning, you can fill three City of Greater Bendigo-supplied bags full of tulips, which currently line the perimeter of the Conservatory Gardens. 
 
The city-supplied bags will cost $5 and payment must be made by Eftpos. 
 
City of Greater Bendigo parks and open space manager Chris Mitchell said it’s exciting to have the “extremely popular event” back after a two-year break.

“We are expecting big crowds of people of all ages on the day and are asking participants to show respect to others when digging for bulbs as aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated,” he said. 
 
He added that staff will “pre-loosen the soil” and so only small hand tools will be allowed.
