Victoria’s EV Tax Dropped

Bendigo’s electric vehicle charging stations might be about to get a lot more popular following the high court finding a tax on electric car (EV) owners in Victoria is unconstitutional.

The state has been charging EV owners two cents per kilometre, in place of the fuel excise, but the high court has ruled the states can’t bring in their own versions of a federal tax.

Bendigo has more than 15 charging locations across the city and they’re categorised into green and the more powerful orange.
