Emergency services have attended a housefire in the Bendigo suburb of Strathdale.
The blaze sparked at a Harley St property on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 10th, with trucks from Bendigo’s Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) station among those on the scene.
An FRV spokesperson has told Gold Central Victoria that crews responded to the incident at 1.14pm after callers to 000 reported a structure fire.
“Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find a single storey brick building with fire damage and a collapsed roof,” the spokesperson said.
“Crews donned breathing apparatus as they worked to make the scene safe.
“The scene was deemed Under Control at 1.44pm.
“Ambulance Victoria were also on the scene and gas and power companies were requested to attend.”
It’s believed the house’s occupants were not present at the time of the incident, which early investigations have attributed to a faulty evaporative cooler.
