For the first time since its origins, Easter Fireworks will not be released from the top of the poppet head, due to the significant rust discovered on its upper levels.
Thousands of festival-goers expected at the annual Bendigo Easter Festival are being advised to seek a higher vantage point for the fireworks display on Easter Saturday, which will be based at ground level for the first time.
Council confirms that final preparations are underway for the annual four-day festival.
