Police are waiting on results from forensic testing on several items of interest found during the search for the missing woman, Samantha Murphy.

Hugs and high-fives were had between the Missing Persons Squad, AFP investigators and specialist units from across Victoria Police as multiple media outlets report that they found a Mobile phone with a case and what appears to be ID cards at a dam south of Buninyong yesterday.

Police divers also joined the search yesterday afternoon, staying until the sun went down.

It’s not yet known if the phone’s linked to the jogger, who was last seen in February.

Police allege 22-year-old Partick Orren Stephenson murdered Murphy on February 4th, the day she went missing.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing and is urging the public to stay clear of the scene.

UPDATE: Missing Persons Squad have confirmed the search of the Buninyong location has concluded and they will not be searching there again today.
