House prices remain on an upward trend across much of the region.
Figures out this week reveal Central Goldfields Shire and parts of suburban Bendigo are faring strongest in terms of growth, with investors showing particular interest in California Gully.
According to a mid-year report from REA Group, that suburb in Bendigo’s north-west has recorded a 24 percent increase in its median property value since June 2025, now sitting at $571 thousand.
This puts California Gully within the Top Five fastest-growing markets anywhere in Victoria.
The suburb also made REA Group’s list of the most popular areas for investors, with an average of 75 key enquiries per listing over the same 12-month period – behind only the Ballarat locales of Sebastopol and Wendouree.
Other Bendigo suburbs to record exceptional growth were Long Gully and Jackass Flat, both seeing an average rise of 23 percent in their house prices.
Meantime, rival firm Domain has released its latest Quarterly House Price report, showing the Central Goldfields region outpacing all other council areas in Central Victoria.
Its median property value has grown by 10.3 percent since a year ago, to reach $430k.
That increase is more than what Greater Bendigo recorded (7.0 percent) and also fares better than Mount Alexander Shire, which has seen its house prices fall by 4.1 percent in the past 12 months.
