Four teenagers are set to face the Children’s Court in relation to a stabbing incident that garnered nationwide attention.

Victoria Police confirmed late yesterday (Monday, June 8th) that a 17-year-old and two 15-year-old boys had been arrested after search warrants were executed in the Greater Bendigo area that same morning.

They’ve since been charged with intentionally causing injury, affray, and assault with a weapon.

A fourth boy, aged 16 was arrested by Protective Service Officers at the Bendigo Railway Station on Saturday evening.

He has also been remanded in custody and is facing the same charges, along with committing an indictable offence while on bail.

All four will face court at a later date.

This follows an incident in Bendigo’s Bath Lane that saw a homeless man allegedly set upon by a group of four masked youths around 9pm last Thursday.

The 41-year-old male victim soon after entered The Sporting Globe bar on Hargreaves Street – about 500 metres away from where the incident is believed to have occurred – with multiple stab wounds.
